Two More Fun Days!

6 days 'til Halloween. We did one of our favorite Halloween traditions and carved our pumpkins. We had lots of fun. If you look closely at Ashlee's hair, you'll see that it is messy because it is full of pumpkin guts. Yes, her big brother, Derek, had fun rubbing it in her hair. Of course she's a good sport and just had fun with it. Emilee's face has pumpkin all over it, but we can't blame Adam this time. It was all her own doing. I'll have to find a picture from last year to post and show what Adam did to her last year. It's great!

5 days 'til Halloween. We had some Finger Lickin' Fun! That's right, we visited Dad at his store and left with some chicken. We took it to a wonderful park up Provo Canyon and had some lunch.

As you can see we had lots of fun along the Provo River Trail after lunch. We climbed on trees and rocks and played in the river. It was a wonderful day spent together.

Still Counting Down

9 days 'til Halloween. We decided to be Halloween phantoms and secretly deliver goodies to the neighbors. Of course we had to do some neighbors that we didn't think would check out our blog. At one house we were really sneaky and didn't get caught. At the other house, there was some giggling going on and they caught us. Oops!

8 days 'til Halloween. We had lots of fun painting our leftover zucchini. We had painted pumpkins earlier in the month and thought it would be fun to try the zucchini. I think they all turned out pretty cute. Jaxon made his like a baby in a cradle, pretty creative.

7 days 'til Halloween. We had a fun movie night with Halloween treats. We watched "Camp Rock" and had lots of fun with some singing and dancing involved. (Especially by the two girls!)

Deer Hunt 2008

This is one of the shots we took today. Adam shot at a five point but it got away.
This was our lunch break while the deer hid in the trees. We took a little siesta as well.

At least we had a beautiful day to hike in and carry a gun.

Counting Down

13 days 'til Halloween. We made Halloween cookies. Jonathan and Susie even came and joined us. It was lots of fun and they were really yummy.

12 days 'til Halloween. We made witches brooms. It was great fun. The kids played with them all evening.

11 days 'til Halloween. We made and ate Ghost Suckers.

10 days 'til Halloween. We read two new Halloween stories.

Happy Birthday Emilee!

I'm Emilee and today is my birthday! I just turned two. I'm so excited to be a big girl. All of my brothers and my sister adore me. They were more excited than me that I was having a birthday. Isn't that silly? I think I had a good one with lots of hugs, kisses, and birthday songs all day long. I had a party last week with the Wardle's. Hopefully I'll know soon when I get to have a Lovell party.

Opening presents was lots of fun. It's a good thing I only got three, because once I opened one, I didn't want to open anymore, I just wanted to play with my new toy.

Grandpa & Grandma Wardle gave me a baby doll and I love it! I carried it all over and just like a typical two year old, I didn't let anyone else touch it. I even started crying and saying mine when they started to sing Happy Birthday to my cousin, Jace, because I thought he was going to get my doll. I wanted my present all to myself. I did let Grandma sit by me on the floor and play with me for a few minutes.

Playing with my castle from Dad & Mom. I loved it, especially the horse that came with it. I kept trying to make horsey sounds.

Countdown to Halloween!!!

We decided to do a Countdown to Halloween this year. It's kind of like an advent calendar. For each Halloween decoration we take down, we do an activity related to fall or Halloween. We decided to start 16 days before Halloween.

16 days 'til Halloween. We went to Pumpkin Land. It was so much fun bouncing in the bounce house, going through the corn maze, playing on the playground, looking at the animals, and picking out our pumpkins.

15 Days 'til Halloween. We went and saw the Witches at Gardner Village with our cousins. It was great fun.

14 days 'til Halloween. We had a picnic, enjoyed fall leaves, and went letterboxing. Dad & Adam were deer hunting, so they missed out!

Reba and Kelly concert

Jackee and I had a great time for her Birthday. We went to a Reba and Kelly concert. Kelly was the first American Idol winner. I sure wish it was Teri instead. What a cute couple we make!

Reba & Kelly sang together. I thought they were pretty good. They sang some of both of their songs and either harmonized together or were back up singers for each other. Jackee loved it! She was already a Reba fan, but now she's a Kelly fan, too.

Adam gets 6 yds!

Adam got six yards when they decided to put him in as running back at the end of the game. I thought he did really well. It sure is fun watching your kids. He is number 76 in case you missed the hand off.

Here is another six yards. He would have made a touch down, but they had too many people on the field and they moved them back 5 yards. They were only on the 2 yd line. Adam was just short. What can you expect with those 4 guys on top of him. It was close! He was horizontal and was still moving his legs when the whistle blew. Just the rest of him wouldn't go any further.

All good things must come to an end. So did this guy running for the goal. Adam took a line and took the guy down. Adam's nomal position is line backer. I think maybe he should run the ball a little more. What do you think?

Ribbon Cutting

My elementary children were lucky enough to open a new school this year. It's very nice and they seem to be enjoying it. Jaxon was really lucky because he was randomly selected to be the child representing the 1st graders for the ribbon cutting. He was so excited! It was fun to watch him cut the ribbon with the other students. Afterward we went behind the school for a picnic. We met Tammy and her kids there and we ate together and then the kids played. There was such a great turnout that the PTA ran out of hot dogs twice. We had pre-ordered our tickets, but I guess most people didn't. The "Lakeview Lions" were honored with the presence of the mascot from Real Salt Lake. Jaxon was excited to get a picture with him, too. It was definitely a fun evening for everyone.

Guilty Pleasures

Chelsea tagged me and so I guess I'm supposed to post this. Hopefully I'm doing it right. I do think I have more than 10, though.

1. My sugar cookies
2. My oatmeal chocolate chip cookies
3. Mine and my mom's rolls
4. Zucchini bread (what can I say, I was blessed with the ability to bake, though it hasn't really been a blessing, it's more of a curse!)
5. Tammy's carmel brownies
6. Sleeping in
7. Licorice (most kinds)
8. Swedish fish
9. Chocolate covered carmels & Mint Truffles
10. Reading (it's good to do, but I ignore more important things like cleaning my house.)

I tag Tammy, Catherine, and Celeste because I know you all blog. I just wish I was good enough to post a cute picture like Chelsea's. But, that would involve baking which would also involve eating which is something I should avoid. Oh, well.

Mutton Busting

Ashlee and Jaxon tied but they gave the belt buckle to Ashlee. She won twice this year so she gave Jaxon one of the belt buckles. What a great sister! This is Ashlee's last run at Mutton Busting. Probably a good thing for that poor sheep.
