My Mom

I just want everyone to know what a wonderful mother I have. (Already crying, better take a break.) Ok, I'm back. There are so many great things about my mom that it is hard to know where to start.

She always strengthens me with her faith. My mother loves the Lord and it shows in her very countenance. I have a fond memory of my mom going back to her room after breakfast to study her scriptures. I knew she wouldn't start the rest of her day without her scripture study. I frequently caught her on her knees when I would walk into her room at night. She attends the temple monthly. She is loving and kind and always willing to serve.

Despite having 7 active children, my mother has taken others into her home. My foster brother, Gilfred, only lived with us for 3 1/2 years, but he still loves her and calls her Mom. A sweet girl from Guatemala also lived with my family for a while. When I was on my mission in Portugal, a disabled sister said she wanted to go to Utah for a month and needed a place to stay. I knew my Mom would be willing to take her in. She was still there 10 months later when I returned from my mission. She is a great example of love and compassion.

I believe the most important thing my mother has done for me is love me. I have never questioned her love. She has always made me feel important and loved no matter what I was doing wrong or what difficulty I was going through. I know that each of my siblings feel the same way. My Mother loves me and has taught me to love as well. Thanks for everything Mom! You are such a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. I love you so much.

Ditto to everything you wrote. We are so lucky to have her as our mom.
